PCVRU is always looking for new applicants to be a Probationary Rescue Member.
This is the entry level position that all volunteers must pass before becoming full rescue members. Probationary membership usually last between 8 and 16 months. This is where the Executive of the unit determines if the person applying meets the requirements of skills, attendance, participation, team work and the will to be a volunteer in our demanding environment.
Requirements:
- 21 years of age
- Drivers license and access to a vehicle
- Pass a police background check
- Able to attend training on Wednesday nights from 1900 - 2300 hrs
- Answer calls when available
- Able to work at certain events where rescue is requested to provided assistance
On average a rescue volunteer donates between 16 and 20 hours a month including Wednesday night training. We also know that everyone has different schedules and we are willing to work around the time that you have available and are willing to donate.

- Working session - 3 to 6 Wed nights
